Biography

Zazie Productions is an experimental composer, sound artist, and recording artist specializing in distinctive, psychologically charged music for visual media. His work blends unconventional electronic production, cinematic tension, musique concrète, and immersive sound design, with a particular focus on psychological horror, suspense, and surreal storytelling.

Working across experimental electronic music, avant-garde sound art, and film scoring, he creates sonic worlds built from unsettling textures, intricate rhythms, dissonance, and unexpected melodic detail. His approach is equally suited to atmospheric underscore, high-impact tension cues, and bold, left-of-center placements requiring a recognizable sonic identity.

His practice began early: at 14, he received a commission from Black Mountain College to reinterpret Erik Satie’s Gymnopédie No. 1 through musique concrète. The resulting work, Cheaper Impressions, a homage to John Cage, appeared on his 2020 EP Stutter to Stammer. He has since released more than ten full-length albums, contributed to more than 60 various-artists compilations, and worked extensively in psychological horror scoring.

His work has been presented internationally, including at the 2026 Ars Electronica Festival. Slippage Beyond the Hyperlink was selected for the MEDIUM SONORUM closing concert at the Sonic Lab of Anton Bruckner Private University, where it was presented over a 20.4-channel high-density loudspeaker system following an international call attracting more than 130 entries.
