Yuna Lee
Biography
Yuna Lee is a composer, arranger, musical director, conductor, and pianist specializing in film, games, concerts, and theater. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she studied Music at Howon University. Following her entry into the university, she actively engaged in the K-pop music industry, musical theater, and the gaming field in Korea.
In 2018, she relocated to Berklee College of Music to study Jazz Composition, Musical Theatre, and Film Scoring, where she garnered recognition for her achievements in the jazz and film scoring categories, receiving multiple awards from sources like Downbeat Magazine and the Berklee Quincy Jones Award. In 2022, she earned a Master’s degree in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games from Berklee Valencia.
Yuna has a rich history in musical theater productions in Korea, contributing as a music director, associate music director, conductor, and musician for productions such as ‘In the Heights,’ ‘Disney’s Newsies,’ ‘The Wedding Singer,’ ‘Billy Elliot,’ ‘Next to Normal.’ Her portfolio extends to the K-pop industry, collaborating with award-winning artists like Brown Eyed Soul, various TV shows, game music, and the Korean government for National Liberation Day Celebrations.
In the United States and Spain, Yuna’s work includes contributions to projects such as the Yuna Lee Jazz Orchestra, ‘Composition X’ with the Dallas Art Museum, and the Alberto Iglesias Tribute Concert.
