Yuna Lee
Biography
Yuna Lee is a composer, arranger, musical director, conductor, and pianist specializing in theater, film, and concerts. With a 16-year career in the music industry, she has made significant contributions across various fields.
She studied at Berklee College of Music, earning a Master’s degree (M.M) and a Diploma, focusing on Jazz Composition, Musical Theatre, and Film Scoring. Yuna has received multiple awards from sources like Downbeat Magazine and the Berklee Quincy Jones Award. She was also selected as a finalist for the 2023 BMI Foundation Pete Carpenter Fellowship.
Yuna’s credits include work on productions such as “In the Heights” (MA) and the Korean-American musical “Dosan” (LA), which was supported by the LA Arts Council. She has collaborated on projects with the Dallas Art Museum and gained experience at London Air Studios and Budapest Art Orchestra.
In Korea, Yuna has served as a Music Director, Assistant Music Director, Conductor, and Pit Musician for official productions of “In the Heights” (Korea/Japan), “Newsies,” “Next to Normal,” “Dracula,” “Billy Elliot,” and “The Wedding Singer.” She also contributed to the 72nd National Liberation Day Celebrations with the Government of South Korea and taught students as an Adjunct Professor in the Musical Theatre Department at Seokyeong University (Seoul). Additionally, she has made notable contributions to the K-Pop industry.
