Biography

Wes D’Alelio is a music director, singer, actor/musician, and composer/lyricist. He recently graduated from Northwestern, where he studied theatre & music, earned a certificate in musical theatre, & participated in a module program for writing new musical theatre.

Most recently, he served as a Music Assistant for the pre-Broadway workshops of Ingrid Michaelson’s “The Notebook” at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre & The Who’s TOMMY at Goodman Theatre. He’s currently writing a musical called “90 Miles”, which is inspired by his family’s Cuban immigration story. He also music directed the 92nd Annual Waa-Mu Show: Romance En Route, & was the Music Director / Keyboard-Conductor / Co-Orchestrator for a production of the TYA musical “Me…Jane: The Dreams & Adventures of Young Jane Goodall”.

Having moved to NYC in August, Wes is seeking work as a copyist / music assistant for workshops &  readings of new musicals, as well as performance opportunities as a vocalist & actor. His greatest influences include Lin-Manuel Miranda, Alex Lacamoire, Bruno Mars, Robin De Jesus, & John Mayer.

He also has nearly 15 years of experience as an a cappella beatboxer & vocalist, & 4 years as an a cappella arranger for his group at Northwestern, THUNK a Cappella. After 4 years of intense training in notation, orchestration, acting, piano performance, keyboard-conducting, vocal arranging, & fingerstyle guitar, Wes is thrilled to be joining the professional world & collaborating to tell new stories.
