Su Hee Cho
Biography
Su Hee Cho is a Sydney-based musician who, after recently completing a Bachelor of Music (Music Education), is undertaking a Master of Music Studies (Performance) majoring in collaborative piano. She is a Chapple Bremner Scholarship recipient and is studying with Australia’s leading collaborative pianist David Miller at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
As an accomplished pianist, Su Hee has played with Opera Australia’s principal artist Simon Kim and was a deputy keyboard player for West End Actresses Rhonda Burchmore and Lara Mulcahy in their production of Partners in Crime (2019). As a highly sought-after keyboard player in the musical theatre circuit, Su Hee has played in productions all around Sydney and Wollongong including, We Will Rock You with Packemin (2021), Into the Woods (2019) and Legally Blonde (2020) with SoPopera, Sydney tour of Seussical (2017) and Footloose (2018) with LOUD Theatre Company and 9 to 5 the Musical with GFO. She is currently working on Moulin Rouge! The Musical with Global Creatures in Sydney.
Besides collaborative piano, Su Hee has produced professional backing tracks for the annual Christmas pantomimes held at the Blackpool Grand Theatre in the UK. She is an educator in the daytime and has had the opportunity to conduct the Symphonia Jubilate Orchestra for two years, providing primary and high school students with engaging orchestral experiences. Su Hee is also a traditional Korean percussionist and a martial artist in her off-time.
