Biography

Stephanie Henry is a composer and pianist based in Minneapolis, MN. With a background in classical training and a deep love for contemporary, pop, R&B, and rock influences, she creates genre-blending compositions that push musical boundaries. Passionate about storytelling, her work explores themes of identity, belonging, and self-discovery.

Stephanie is currently developing Willow Storm and the Lightning Bolts, a musical about self-expression, gender identity, and the power of music, set in the 1980s rock scene. She is also co-writing a stage musical on Philippa Schuyler, a biracial piano prodigy from the Harlem Renaissance. A recipient of the Minnesota State Arts Board Creative Individuals grant, Stephanie is dedicated to creating dynamic, inclusive works that connect with diverse audiences.

Outside of composing and performing Stephanie has maintained a piano studio where she teaches music to a people of all ages.
