Senobia Smith West
Biography
Senobia is a versatile singer, that pours out her soul fused with R&B, jazz, blues, and commercial pop undertones. She is a songwriter, composer, and veteran of the stage having performed with America’s finest as a U.S. Army Band singer and musician. She is a born and bred musician from Columbus, Ohio where her first introductions to music were gospel, doo-wop, pop, and rhythm & blues before she found jazz. Her musical influences are ever-present in her stylistic approaches, and sound, as her artistry transforms her audiences bringing them altruistic vibes. She is often referred to as a “siren” as her voice is so enchanting and dynamic that she will leave you swooning for more.
Senobia has performed in jazz clubs on the Caribbean Sea, Opera houses along the Amalfi Coast of Italy, and Wineries from Carlsbad, CA to Washington, DC. Her world, life, and musical influences have transformed her music into the exotic culture she has experienced as an internationally traveled singer. Her vocal interpretation of the lyrics, and melody, tell “her” story behind the song and will surely take you on an emotional rollercoaster.
Before moving to the Savannah, GA area, Senobia worked with Ohio University as a Professor and Vocal Musical Theatre Artist Coach. Senobia continues to work with an elite College Audition preparation company based in Maryland and has recently taken on the role of a recording artist releasing her debut album titled “Time To Breathe” streaming everywhere now; While simultaneously working with the Savannah, GA community as a Professional Voice Technician, Music Educator, and Performing Artist under her private studio Free Your Voice Music Studio, LLC.
