Selina Liu
Biography
Selina Liu is a second-year student at Northwestern University majoring in theatre and music composition. She is a classically trained pianist proficient in both classical and contemporary styles such as jazz and pop/rock. She has directed, conducted, and arranged for a cappella groups, classical trios, and small jazz ensembles. She accompanies voice lessons and coaches auditions for young actors. Most recently, she was the music director at Citadel Theatre’s education programs for the production of Matilda Jr. and the Broadway 2000s Intensive. In the 2023-2024 season, she will go on to be the music director and keyboard conductor for Northwestern University’s production of The Little Mermaid, and associate music director for Kinky Boots. She will also be a writer, composer, and orchestrator for the 93rd Annual Waa-Mu Show. She is currently working on the book, lyrics, music, and score of her original musical.
