Biography

Rissa Lavilla is a New York based Producer and Writer for TV/Film and theatre. Some credits include NBC Universal, Lobsters International Theatricals, and First you Dream Entertainment.

She is ecstatic to be part of the Recording Academy’s “Grammy U” Cohort and is currently a 2024/2025 Recording Academy Mentee for the Songwriting/Composing track, delving into being an instrumentalist.

Other work include independent producing with her production company “Beyond Stage and Screen” focusing cabaret shows, new developments, and collaborating with production and marketing teams for Broadway, Off-Broadway, and developing new musicals.

Rissa Lavilla is proud to represent her different cultures in the entertainment industry being Hawaiian, Filipina, and Spanish. She is passionate about being a voice for diversity, inclusion, and social change within the industry and is a member of NYCLU Artist Ambassadors, Ring Of Keys, Tempo, Rise, Maestra, Muse, and PEAK Pasifika who redefines and expands entertainment so that creatives can thrive, evolve, and drive innovative storytelling that honors the richness and diversity across Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia.
