I received my Bachelor of Music Education in Instrumental Music with an emphasis in Oboe Performance from Baylor University in 2018. During my time at Baylor, I studied oboe with Dr. Doris Deloach and bassoon with Dr. Ann Shoemaker. I also studied flute and clarinet with the graduate teaching assistants and jazz improvisation with Professor Alex Parker. In 2017, I was selected as one of the five saxophonists to perform in the Disney All-American College Band and in 2018, I was selected to be a Wayne Fisher Jazz Scholar at Baylor University.
Following my undergraduate graduation, I enrolled in the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati to pursue a Master of Music in Jazz Studies. During my time at CCM, I studied oboe with Dr. Mark Ostoich, bassoon with Dr. William Winstead and saxophone with Professor Craig Bailey. I also studied flute and clarinet with the graduate teaching assistants.
Throughout my studies, I’ve always kept a studio of private lesson students! I’ve taught students on flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone and bassoon from ages ten to forty-three and I truly love teaching.
Outside of music, I love making videos and my YouTube channel just recently passed nine hundred subscribers. I’ve earned black belts in two separate martial arts and I taught extreme martial arts (weapons and acrobatics) for many years. I’ve also won multiple mechanical engineering contest in the automobile category for my classic automobile restorations. I specialize in American automobiles from the late 80s – early 00s.
Thank you for reading my biography. I hope we can meet someday!
