Priscilla Tam
Biography
Priscilla (she/her) is a New York City based violinist, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance at New York University. At NYU, she has previously served as Concertmaster and Principal of the NYUO2 orchestra, performed in concerts and Steinhardt mainstage productions with the Broadway Orchestra, and premiered works by student composers in collaboration with Tisch film students. She is a founding member of the A Quintet, a viola string quintet at NYU. She is currently studying with Dr. Cyrus Beroukhim and Giora Schmidt.
Outside of NYU, Priscilla has performed in local productions of Annie, Newsies, and Oklahoma! as a pit violinist and in 42nd Street as a clarinetist. Most recently, she was Concertmaster for Tisch New Theatre’s spring mainstage production of Cabaret. For the summer 2023 season, Priscilla was selected to be in the pit for College Light Opera Company in Falmouth, Massachusetts, playing in shows like The Music Man, The Little Mermaid, and Singin’ in the Rain.
