Michael Gore started playing at age 6 years old when his mother enrolled him and his younger in piano lessons. At Age 8 Michael became infatuated with drums and thus began his musical journey. He played in the youth choir at church and by age 12 Michael Joined his church’s youth orchestra where he began to learn to read music. He also ended up playing for his church’s women’s choir throughout high school. In high school Michael studied under David Eanes where he expanded his knowledge in Freshmen/Sophomore band, concert, and, jazz band. Michael attended Columbia college Chicago where he got a Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Urban and Popular Music. Columbia taught Michael versatility after selecting him to participate in a number of different ensembles ranging from but not limited to jazz, pop rock , Latin jazz ,fusion, and r&b. Since graduating from Columbia Michael currently teaches music at a Chicago public school, a music school, as well as perform around town and tour the country with bands he’s apart of including Bassel and the supernaturals, Brandon James, Duke,Thaddeus Tukes, etc.
