Matthew Gabriel Galang Hernandez
Matthew Gabriel Hernandez is a composer, arranger, orchestrator, conductor, multi-instrumentalist, and a music copyist from Angono, Rizal Philippines
He took his first steps into music as a performer, playing the drums since 3 years old, and playing the violin since 4 years old to serve the Lord in his church (to which he still does). Come the elementary days wherein he became part of the ACSI String Ensemble, playing various classical and baroque pieces. He got his first arranging gig at that time too when he was in 6th Grade. During his time in Junior High, he was in Angono Private High School, wherein he became part of the APHS Chamber Music Ensemble. During those 4 years, he became the orchestra’s Assistant Conductor, Arranger/Orchestrator, Music Copyist, and Principal Percussionist. As of right now, he is studying at the Regional Lead School for the Arts in Angono, taking the Arts and Design track with Music as his focus. During the summer season, he frequently goes to the UP College of Music Extension program to study Music Composition. He also joined many online organizations during the quarantine period (1 year) like Virtual Video Game Orchestra, Press Play Philharmonic, and the 8-Bit Big Band Community Orchestra working as a music copyist for the projects.
Additional information: he currently studies the Japanese language, and frequently translates.
