Madison Jeanae Armstrong

Biography

Madison Armstrong is a woodwind doubler based in the Sacramento/Stockton area. Originally from Las Vegas, NV, she relocated to Sacramento in 2016 to attend Sacramento State University studying clarinet performance under Professor Sandra McPherson and jazz saxophone under Professor Mike McMullen.

Her musical experiences and achievements include winning the 2018 Sacramento State Concerto Competition as well receiving the 2018 Saturday Club Scholarship award. She has worked with numerous professional musical theatre companies, performing in productions at The Berkeley Playhouse (Memphis and Urinetown), Stockton Civic Theatre (Matilda the Musical and Gypsy), Davis Shakespeare Festival (Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder), Showbiz Theatre (La Cage Aux Folles), and The Music Circus in Sacramento (The Color Purple)

Ms. Armstrong is also very active in the orchestral and opera scene; she has performed with Opera Modesto, the Sacramento Philharmonic, and San Francisco Opera. 

In addition to playing, she is also extremely passionate about sharing her musical knowledge through teaching private and group instrumental lessons. 

She currently teaches privately at Sabado School of Music in Cameron Park, Skip’s Music in Sacramento, Sayla Music Academy in Lodi, and has her own traveling private lesson business.
