Biography

José Antonio Miranda is a Cuban saxophonist currently residing in New York city. 

José received a scholarship for excellence and is currently studying Saxophone Performance at the Manhattan School of Music. He has performed at world-renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Rialto Center of Arts, and the National Theater of Cuba, collaborating with prominent figures and organizations in both classical music and jazz, including: Dr. Timothy MacAllister, Eric Whitacre,  and international professors such as Dr. Luis Jiménez of the Paris Conservatory, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Preservation Hall, Pedrito Martinez, the National Band of Cuba, among others. José Miranda has won multiple awards for his musical talent in the United States and internationally such as the American Protege at Carnegie Hall, Grand Virtuoso Competition in the United Kingdom and most recently, Manhattan School of Music 2026 Concerto Competition.  Throughout his career Jose has studied with Paul Cohen, Brandyn Taylor, Javier Zalba, and Ahmed López.
