Jerome Brooks, Jr.
Biography
Jerome Brooks, Jr. is the 2022-23 Season Host of the Chamber Music Society (CMS) of Lincoln Center’s Chamber Music Beginnings. He’s a 2022 Outstanding Musical Director AUDELCO Award Nominee for BLACK LOVE at Black Spectrum Theatre. He had his big screen debut as Josh McKee in Art = (Love)2. He was the Dueling Piano Player in Amazon’s Z: The Beginning Of Everything. He was the Choir Director & Vocal Arranger for POWER Season 5 Episode 1. He is a 2021 City Artist Corps Grant Recipient for his musical SOCIAL DISTANCE with a SOLD OUT presentation at The Players Theatre, NY. He’s also the 2020 recipient of the Anna Sosenko Assist Trust. He’s the keyboardist in commercials and on the cover of the Rock Band 3 video game. He’s a SAG-AFTRA/ AEA Actor with a BFA in Music Theatre /Piano Minor from Shenandoah Conservatory. Off-Broadway he contributed additional arrangements to Duncan Sheik’s Mother Courage and Her Children. Tony Award Winner Tonya Pinkins directed staged readings of his original show COMMITTED The Musical at The Musical Theatre Factory & Emerging Artists Theatre. He performed original material from his 2017 20 song second album MultiGenre Music By: Jerome During Grammy Week 2019 at LA’s El Portal Theatre. He also performed at Carnegie Hall in 2022, the Lincoln Center as a New Song Music Finalist, LA’s Taste of Soul Festival, The Apollo, The Triad, Iguana Club, Sugar Bar, Symphony Space, AUDELCO Awards, in Switzerland, Japan, Germany, Austria and Turkey.
