Jeremy k Jones
Jeremy Jones, a Roseland native, was born into a musical family. Jeremy started his musical career taking piano lessons in Beverly where he developed a passion that would take him from the humble stages of Morgan Park to professional arenas all around the Midwest. Jeremy studied Music Performance (Tuba) at Central State University and Music Education at Northern Illinois University, two schools that he attributes to helping refine his skills and knowledge. Jeremy spent countless hours writing musical arrangements for church and many local artists. Jeremy’s performance and educational skill-set enabled him to record, direct and work with several industry professionals. During the last 11 years, he’s done numerous TV appearances on ABC, FOX, WGN and has performed at multiple festivals including Ahh Fest, The Chicago Gospel Fest, Taste of Chicago and many more. In 2015, Jeremy landed his 1st role on Fox’s “Empire” as a bass guitarist and his 2nd role with Empire in 2019. His most recent TV appearance came in 2021 in the pilot episode of NBC’s “Ordinary Joe.” In 2020, Jeremy was featured in the Chicago Sun Times for his role in playing a weekly jam session in the Grand Crossings neighborhood called, “Porch Sessions.” Our goal was to provide a safe space for members of the south side to hear, perform and share the experience of music safely but since its inception, “Porch Sessions” has turned into so much more. In 2021, Jeremy founded Black Phoenix Productions LLC with the intent to serve the community through live entertainment, licensing, recording and music education.
