Biography

Filipino-American cellist Isabella Palacpac received her Bachelor’s degree in 2020 from The Juilliard School after having also attended Juilliard’s Pre-College Division since fourth grade. Based in NYC and Connecticut, she has played for regional and local theaters such as The Ivoryton Playhouse, A Contemporary Theater of CT, Okaeri Productions, Curtain Call, The Brookfield Theater of the Arts, The Wilton Playshop, and The Ridgefield Theater Barn, among others. She has recently played in productions of shows such as Dear Evan Hansen, 1776, Anastasia, Next to Normal, and Into the Woods. Isabella is also a member of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and performs regularly with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.

Prior to freelancing full-time in the NYC area, Isabella toured extensively with the pop/classical crossover piano trio TAKE3. Her performance highlights with TAKE3 include concerts with the Johnson City Symphony in Tennessee, the Music in the Mountains Festival Orchestra in Colorado, and the Lancaster Festival Orchestra as the opener for Wilson Philipps.
Isabella was a National YoungArts Foundation winner, selected twice as a participant in the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians, and toured China with Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra of the USA.
