Biography

Iris (she/they) is an emerging music director and keys player currently in her fourth year studying at UNSW (Bach. of Actuarial Studies / Science). They have been MD/Keys for 21 Chump Street (NIDA, 2023), Tick, Tick… BOOM! (Old Fitz, 2024), Bonny & Read (Qtopia, 2025), and multiple cabarets including The Ring and I (Hayes Theatre, 2026). Iris can also be spotted playing keys in pit orchestras across Sydney’s community theatres, with past productions including Mary Poppins (MMTC, 2025), Cinderella (SMS, 2024) and The Little Mermaid (Stage Artz, 2024). She has completed a music direction apprenticeship at the Broadway Dreams summer intensive in New York City, under John Bronston, Jeremy Lyons and Jason Goldston. Most recently, they participated in the Kelly Dickerson Emerging Music Director Program in Sydney under the mentorship of Laura Tipoki and Daniel Puckey.
