Franco Augusto Ortiz
Biography
Originally from Lima, Peru, Franco Augusto Ortiz grew up in Miami, Florida before attending Oberlin Conservatory of Music. He graduated from Yale School of Music in 2024. Franco has performed with the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, at the Aspen Music Festival, and has also participated as a Fellow in the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, and the Snow Pond Music Festival. Throughout his career, Franco has studied with Roland Pandolfi, William Purvis, and Geoffrey Pilkington.
Franco has a wide range of musical interests, which include chamber music, orchestra, opera, theatre, contemporary, and jazz.
