Biography

Cristina is a dedicated music educator with experience teaching general music and chorus to a wide range of grade levels. She currently teaches K-5 general music and directs the 4th and 5th grade chorus, previously having taught 7th and 8th grade music and chorus.Through dynamic and creative approaches, she aims to inspire a lifelong appreciation for the transformative power of music. With an educational background that includes an M.S. in Brain-Based Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern University, as well as a B.M. in Voice Performance and Music Education from the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, Cristina brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her teaching practice. With over 15 years of experience as a music and voice teacher, Cristina has a wealth of knowledge and a passion for music education. She has run various successful musical theater camps and musically directed many productions, bringing her students to new heights of performance excellence. Her specialty is in teaching young children singing technique and instilling a love of music at a young age.

Cristina has a unique perspective on the world of musical theater, as her own daughters have gone on to become professional actors and have toured nationally. This experience gives her an in-depth understanding of the industry and the skills needed to be successful in the performing arts.  Cristina is dedicated to helping her students develop their talents and reach their full potential.
