Biography

Carlos Ramos is a dynamic and in-demand trumpet artist working at the intersection of jazz, commercial music, and live touring. Equally at home in high-energy festival stages, intimate club settings, and Broadway orchestra pits, He brings versatility, musicality, and a powerful, expressive sound to every performance.
Currently the touring trumpet player for Latin GRAMMY-winning alternative duo Ca7riel y Paco Amoroso, Carlos has performed with the group on some of the world’s most iconic stages, including The Latin GRAMMY’s, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Coachella, Pal Norte Festival (Monterrey, Mexico), The Bowery Ballroom (NYC), Vivo Beach Club (Puerto Rico), and Movistar Arenas (Madrid, Santiago, Bogota, Buenos Aires). In 2025, he embarked on a major world tour with the group, appearing at premier festivals such as Glastonbury (UK), Roskilde (Denmark), Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Lollapalooza Berlin & Paris, BBK Live (Spain), Outside Lands (San Francisco), and Fuji Rock (Japan). He also performed with the band as the opener for Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National Tour through South America.
His experience in musical theater includes new stage productions such as Real Women Have Curves at A.R.T in Cambridge, Massachusetts and the national tours of The Cher Show and the Broadway National Tour of How The Grinch Stole Christmas. His ability to deliver consistency, precision, and stylistic nuance has made him a go-to performer for high-level pit orchestra work.
Beyond the stage, Carlos is a sought-after session player and collaborator, known for his clean articulation, stylistic authenticity, and ability to adapt seamlessly across genres—from jazz and funk to pop, Latin, and classical.
