Biography
Born and raised in the Bronx, NYC, Aurora is a versatile violinist, educator, and advocate for innovation in classical music. Her orchestral engagements include performances with the New Jersey, New Haven, Vermont, and Harrisburg symphonies (USA), the Latin Orchestra of Europe (Frankfurt, Germany), as well as serving as guest concertmaster with City Lyric Opera (NYC, NY).
In addition to her orchestral endeavors, Aurora performs regularly on Broadway, and with leading regional and university theater programs in the Tri-State area, often doubling on viola, and serving as guest artist faculty.
During the summer months, Aurora has performed with the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival (Germany), five-time fellow at the Spoleto Festival USA, Orchestra of the Americas, Marrowstone, Monteux, and NextFest Festivals.
A passionate educator, she currently serves as guest concertmaster/adjunct violin faculty at Montclair state University’s Theater Department, violin faculty with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s Youth Orchestra, and is the Strings Teaching Artist in Residence at SOPAC. She holds a Performer’s Certificate and BM in Violin Performance from the Cali School of Music at MSU under the tutelage of Prof. Mary Ann Mumm (Met Opera Orchestra). Aurora currently performs on a modern violin made by German maker Andre Mehler (Leipzig, Germany).
