Biography

Antonio Del Valle (He/They) is an award-winning Composer/Lyricist, Conductor and Pianist from Queens, NY. Trained at the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan, he went on to receive his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Musical Theater with an emphasis in Songwriting at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music. Proud member of the Advanced Workshop at BMI, and an upcoming fellow for the 2026 Candela Workshop.

Antonio was a 2025 Semi-Finalist at both the O’Neill and the Pipeline Arts Foundation for his original musical, SOUTH FIRST, a story about the Nuyoricans fighting to preserve their home in gentrified Williamsburg. Upcoming reading of SOUTH FIRST will premiere in late summer 2026 at Playwrights Horizons.

Select pianist work includes BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB’s Broadway Production, The DREAMGIRLS MUSE Sitzprobe Event at Lincoln Center, conducted by Seth Rudetsky, and Jazz @ Lincoln Center with Carlos Henriquez and Highbridge Voices.

Currently the Music Director for AfterWork Theater’s 2026 Production of Head Over Heels, as well as the Associate Conductor for Highbridge Voices in the South Bronx.

Most recent compositions featured as part of the Rikers Public Memory Project, the 2024 BMI Spotlight Series, and the 25th anniversary of the Musical Theater Lab at Prospect Musicals.

In addition to their extensive work as a composer and pianist, they continue to collaborate with the local school systems both in and around the city to promote a culture of musical excellence.

As an Afro-Puerto Rican, Antonio is passionate about creating music that highlights the rich musical culture of the Caribbean, and preserving the legacy of West African culture across the diaspora. They write music that explores the depths of their consciousness, and surfaces anew.
