Biography

Antoine Khouri – Biography Antoine Khouri is a London-born, Miami-raised musician, conductor, and educator of Jamaican heritage. A graduate of the prestigious New World School of the Arts, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with an emphasis in String Education from Florida State University. He later completed two Master’s degrees, one in Media Writing from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, and another in Performing Arts Production from Florida International University. Mr. Khouri is currently the Orchestra Program Director at Pinecrest School in Fort Lauderdale. He has served in various music education roles within both Florida and New York City public school systems and spent eight years as an adjunct professor at Miami Dade College. He was formerly the co-music director and conductor of the Miami String Project, a top-tier youth string ensemble. In addition to his educational work, Antoine has served as Music Director for numerous professional musical theatre productions across South Florida, showcasing his versatility across genres and his ability to collaborate with a wide range of performers and creatives. His background in both classical and commercial music gives him a unique edge in bridging disciplines and styles. As a passionate educator and advocate for the arts, Antoine is an active private teacher, guest conductor, adjudicator, and orchestral clinician. He has conducted district and state-level honors orchestras across Florida, including a performance with the Florida All-State Honors Orchestra. His ensembles consistently earn superior ratings at state-sanctioned Music Performance Assessments. Antoine’s primary instruments are the piano and double bass; however, his musical expertise spans multiple instruments, including composition, production, and musical direction. He has worked with numerous artists in the music industry and is deeply committed to connecting music education with real-world industry practice. A member of FMEA and FOA, Mr. Khouri continues to inspire the next generation of musicians through both formal instruction and artistic mentorship.
