Amanda Morton

Biography

Amanda Morton is a music director based out of the NYC region. She sits on the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Access Committee of Maestra.

She is the Music Supervisor for musical adaptations of Anne of Green Gables (by Matte O’Brien and Matt Vinson) and Diary of A Wimpy Kid (by Kevin Del Aguila, Michael Mahler, and Alan Schmuckler). She is also the Music Director for Other World (by Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, and Ann McNamee) and Associate Music Director/Lyric Dramaturg for KPOP: The Broadway Musical (by Jason Kim, Helen Park, and Max Vernon), arriving at Circle in the Square this Fall 2022.

Amanda served as the Director of Drama School at the Arden Theatre Company from the 2014 through 2016 season, designing curriculum and professional development practices for teaching artists. At University of the Arts, she taught a Music Skills course for Freshman musical theatre majors, fostering development in the areas of music theory, solfège, ensemble singing, and musical theatre history.

She has a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre Performance from Ithaca College.
