Alejo Rodríguez
Biography
Alejandro “Alejo” Rodríguez (They/Them) is a Colombian-American Composer/Performer born and raised in South Florida. They are currently pursuing their Bachelors degree in Music Composition at the Florida State University College of Music in Tallahassee, Florida. Alejo currently serves as the Music Director, Arranger, and Beatboxer of FSU’s premier A Cappella group, All-Night Yahtzee. In 2019, Alejo and their sister V released an EP of songs from their original musical, My Elijah. In 2020, Alejo was selected as a national winner for the Musical Theatre Songwriting Challenge, hosted by the American Theatre Wing & the National Endowment for the Arts, where their song “Days From Long Ago”, which appears in Alejo’s EP, was rerecorded and sung by Broadway’s Solea Pfeiffer and star of West Side Story, Rachel Zegler.
