Abigail Galleta Canafe
Biography
Abigail Galleta Canafe is a music director, keyboardist, keyboard programmer, accordionist, and arranger from the San Francisco Bay Area, soon-to-be based in New York City beginning in August 2024. Abigail is a proud member of Musicians United for Social Equity and Maestra Music.
She actively works with regional theaters, professional training companies, and education programs, most recently with New Conservatory Theater Center, Youth Musical Theater Company, One Stage Theatre, East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, and Kairos Music Academy. She has worked on over 20 theatrical productions, ranging from musicals and plays to revue shows and original operas.
Abigail received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in music and cognitive science from the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied piano, harpsichord, and chamber organ performance. She is a recipient of the Roselyn Schneider Eisner Prize in Music as well as the Joan C. Reutinger Prize in recognition for piano performance.
