Gender, Sexuality, and the Equitable Future of Musical Theater

June 23, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us for a workshop hosted by MUSE and led by Artemis Montague…etc.

About this event

This event is free and open to all!

Join us as we explore:

*gender and sexuality terminology and why it matters in the workplace and in theatre;

*pronouns and how to use them;

*best practices for including gender diversity in music writing, the theater, and the workplace;

*why all this matters in the current socio-political landscape

*intersectionality, what it is, and why it matters for the future of musical theatre

Led by Artemis Montague (they/them), an undergraduate degree recipient from DePaul University’s Women and Gender Studies program and a musical theatre multi-hyphenate (composer, lyricist, librettist/playwright, and singer).
