Violet Tzu-hsuan Wang

Violet Tzu-hsuan Wang

Biography

Welcome!

My name is Violet Wang(王子萱), I’m a Taiwanese, currently NYC/Boston-based multidiscipline artist with a classical training background in Classical Music (Cello and Piano) as well as in Acting (Circle In The Square Theatre School).

I’m a current Faculty/Pianist and Music Director at Circle In The Square Theatre School, where I recently music directed (piano-conducted) URINETOWN and A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. I’m also a Pianist at Jen Waldman Studio, NYU Tisch (New Studio on Broadway), Barnard College, and IAMT (Institute for American Musical Theatre).

As an actor, I’ve worked with companies such as Hope Repertory Theatre (FIGARO, BWW Michigan Awards Best Performer In A Play), Titan Theatre Company (LADY CAPULET, Romeo and Juliet), Clocktower Players (FESTE, Twelfth Night The Musical).

When I’m not rolling with the keys or acting, I’m a concert cellist with The Chelsea Symphony, as well as a music educator for cello and piano. I’ve also greatly enjoyed working as a pit musician (Spring Awakening, Infernal The Musical, Next Thing You Know, Eastbound The Musical, etc.)

I look forward to connecting with you!
