Biography
Violette Kay is a sound designer, composer and multidisciplinary performer who studied acting at John Abbott College and violin performance at the Conservatoire de musique de Gatineau. Past projects include From the Stars in the Sky to the Fish in the Sea (Geordie Theatre – META winner for Outstanding Emerging Artist – Production), Counter Offence (Teesri Duniya Theatre), Caravan (Tableau d’Hôte Theatre) and Alice in 24 (Dense & Stage).
As Associate Producer at Geordie Theatre and member of Kickstart Disability Arts & Culture’s board of directors, Violette is passionate about creating artistic opportunities for young people, and building accessible and anti-ableist work environments whether it be onstage, behind the scenes, or behind an office desk.
