Selina Liu
Biography
Selina Liu is a third-year student at Northwestern University pursuing a BA in theatre and music and a minor in music education. As a pianist, she is proficient in jazz, classical, and pop styles. Selina has worked as a music director, pit musician, accompanist, composer, and orchestrator in numerous musical theatre productions at the university. She is the music director for Community Singers, Northwestern’s premier barrier-free philanthropy choir, and the keyboardist in two bands. Professionally, she has worked as a music director in educational theatres, and as an audition coach for beginning actors. She is independently developing a documentary musical as a recipient of Northwestern’s Summer Undergraduate Research Grant as the composer, lyricist, book writer, and orchestrator. She is currently the assistant conductor at the Orchestre Lamoureux in Paris.
