Biography

   David had been an accompanist and music director(MD) in Sacramento since 2018. He has worked over sixty shows as an MD or pit musician within this time at colleges, community theatres, and local schools. Currently David is working for Broadway at Music circus as a rehearsal pianist and pit musician(Kinky Boots, Kiss me Kate, Something Rotten).

After teaching himself piano at 12, David was lucky enough to train under Joe Gilman during his high school years. He was lucky enough to begin playing professionally from the age of 15. David has mainly played for jazz, hip-hop, electronic, and R&B groups.

David attended The New School for Jazz on a full scholarship before deciding to acquire a chemistry degree from UC Davis. Before graduating, David was already working full time as a music director.

While his main skills are as a player-conductor and accompanist, David is comfortable working with vocalists, arranging/composing, and teaching.
