Biography

Caleb Middleton is a Music Director, Conductor, and Pianist from McDonough, GA. He is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Musical Arts (BMA) with a focus on Music Direction, along with minors in Musical Theatre Composition and Performing Arts Management & Entrepreneurship. His passion for music direction began after seeing his first Broadway show, Les Misérables (2015). Since then, he has pursued a professional career in music direction for musical theatre.

Caleb recently served as Music Director on the National Tour of Kinky Boots, under the music supervision of Will Van Dyke. He previously served as Associate Music Director on the 1st National Tour of ELF: The Musical, under the music supervision of Nate Patten, and as Associate Music Director on the 2nd National Tour of TINA: The Tina Turner Musical, under the music supervision of Alvin Hough Jr. He has collaborated with organizations including The MUNY (2022–2024), Paper Mill Playhouse, Maine State Music Theatre, Broadway Dreams Foundation, and Asian Opera Alliance.

Select pianist credits include Wicked (Detroit Opera House), Dreamgirls (The MUNY), The Color Purple (The MUNY), and Sister Act (The MUNY). Select music direction credits include A Chorus Line, Choir Boy, and Falsettos (University of Michigan).
