Music For The People NYC, an independent community arts program, run by professional musicians, with a satellites located in South Bronx, seeks a Choral Teaching Artist for ages 9 to 18, starting immediately. Responsibilities of the position include: Teaching Group Classes, preparing student for Recitals, Festival, touring activities. Qualified candidates will work closely with the staff/ directors, be part of a teaching team, be a dedicated, skilled, music educator, possess expertise as a professional artist. Flexible with performing artists, with approved substitutes. A Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred. Piano, guitar, music technology skills are a plus.
The ideal candidate will possess an ability to work with all ages. Be creative, innovative, understanding of the learning needs of a diverse student population, be a team player in creating a consistent curriculum suitable for the MFTP program.
